Original Oil Paintings
As an artist based in Twickenham the main body of my work is inspired by the vibrant colours of my childhood in New Zealand and my present working location; Eel Pie Island in the river Thames where the daily tidal fluctuations and changing light energise this historic location.
I am essentially a site-specific artist and the essence of my work is distilled from my immediate surroundings. I enjoy the challenge of new subject matter and use colour to generate different moods and suggest dimensions hidden within familiar locations. A poem by Robert Graves describing a forest of ghosts is the inspiration behind the 'Flurries Series'.

Drawing and Painting Tuition
I teach drawing, water colour and oil painting in my studio and run a Mobile Art Studio designing Drawing Workshops for groups of up to 20.
